If you are a Hawks fan, you must be wondering what the hell has happened to the Hawks. I’ll tell you what happened, awesome is what happened. The Atlanta Hawks altered their official Twitter account to a Minnesota Timberwolves fan account Wednesday, but the group has an ulterior motive. The Timberwolves are playing the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday at the Target Center in Minneapolis.
The winner of the game goes to the playoffs. Atlanta owns both Houston Rockets, and Timberwolves first round picks. Considering that the Minnesota pick is protected for picks no. 1 through 14, the Timberwolves must make the playoffs for the choice to convey to the Hawks. In the event the Timberwolves win, the Hawks could have three choices in the first round of the 2018 NBA Draft.

In case the Nuggets win, the Hawks will have to wait till next season to see whether they’d get the choice, which will still be the first rounder at 2019 and 2020. After 2020, the choice will probably turn into the second round of the year 2020 and 2021.
The Hawks have 12.1 percent chance of getting the No. 1 overall pick. Atlanta started the Wednesday night’s tweeting spree by post a photograph of the Hawks emblem Wearing a Timberwolves hat and holding a foam finger, reading Wolves .1.”” .NewProfilePic, the Timberwolves tweeted. The Hawks also posted GIF of Timberwolves guard Jimmy Butler grinning, with the caption mood” . The Timberwolves finally won the match 112-106 at a gorgeous Overtime win, giving the Hawks another first round pick!.
